Our Story

How DriveShield Began

In 2018, our founders, a software engineer and an insurance veteran, both experienced the same frustrating reality: filing a car insurance claim felt like navigating a bureaucratic maze.

That experience sparked a simple question: why does getting insurance and actually using it have to be so complicated?

They set out to build an insurance company from scratch, designed around transparency, a subscription model, and a claims process built entirely around simplicity and speed.

Today, DriveShield protects over 50,000 drivers across 42 states, and we are still building the company we always wished existed.
